Faces took on neighbours Frenford Senior looking to end a run of 4 successive home defeats. Manager Gareth Collins was back in charge after another successful stint at the Priory. Changes were made from the outset with Sam Carter, Stuart David & David Day coming in for James Danderson, Damien Yoxall & Ricky Downs who were all missing.

The game began at quick pace with both teams attempting to get a grip on the game. Possession was equally shared for the first half an hour without any real chances being created by either side. When you are at the bottom things really seem to go against you with the busy official awarding every free kick to the away side and booking players needlessly.

With half time approaching it was Frenford who began to dominate the midfield and it took two fine successive saves just before the break for the impressive new goalkeeper, Luke Roust to keep the scores level. The latter being right out the top draw deflecting a low shot on to the post. Half time 0-0.

The second half started in similar fashion with both teams cancelling each other out as chances few and far between. It was then defensive frailties from Faces that led to the first goal for the visitors. Hesitancy between the midfield and defence led to a free kick being conceded. A long ball was lumped into the box and subsequently bundled into the net at the second attempt after the first effort was saved by keeper Luke Roust.

Credit to the lads, heads never went down and we continued to try and play good football although we didn’t really create any notable chances. We were just lacking that bit of flair or cutting edge to get back into the game. As the game entered the final quarter Frenford scored a further two goals to kill the game off with the final score ending 0-3 which frankly was slightly flattering for the visitors.

Manager's verdict: A better team display for 70 minutes although eventually undone by a workman like performance from the visitors.
