Match Report 19.04.08: Leigh Ramblers 3 Faces 6
Faces 1st teams current run of form continued with this victory at the seaside.
Although fielding a depleted side Faces dominated from the start and, took the lead when Ricky Downs showed his dazzling dribbling skills and crossing ability that was superbly finished off with a bullet header from a Leigh defender.
The old gremlins surfaced again when the hosts equalised immediately afterwards but Faces buckled down and took the lead again when Damien Yoxall slid in at the back post late in the half .This should have been enough to go into the break in front but, Leigh equalised again in added on time however there was still time for Abraham Mahmood to score to regain the lead Faces deserved.
The second half marked the seasonal debut of club secretary and all round good guy Paul Baker and, his presence had the desired effect when Faces extended their lead with Damo and Abs netting their second of the game and Snowy Barlow hitting a long range cracker. Not to be outdone Leigh played their part in a thoroughly entertaining game when they hit a third to make the final score 6-3.
Another 3 points in the bag to cement 4th place in the table and the end of the travels this season with the remaining league games and Denny King Memorial Cup semi -final all at home.

How come downsy's cross gets a mention for the O.G. yet my un-defendable free-kick for Damiens goal doesnt get mentioned!!!
